What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
• Inspect and analyze equipment, diagnosing malfunctions, and maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical systems
• Perform maintenance on vehicles, motors, kitchen appliances, and motorized equipment
• Operate groundskeeping equipment such as plow trucks, snow blowers, and mowers
• Supervise and train inmates in mechanical maintenance and repair work assignments
• Maintain security in the work environment and keep maintenance records

What is Required (Qualifications):
• Experience or training in construction or repair of structures
• Experience or training in general maintenance and repairs in areas such as plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work
• Experience operating powered grounds maintenance equipment
• Must possess a valid driver's license for some positions
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including climbing, bending, crawling, and lifting

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
• Experience with welding, lifts, and generators
• Familiarity with blueprints and schematics for facility repairs
• Previous experience working in a correctional facility or similar environment
