Job Overview:
The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for fulfilling customer orders by retrieving and stacking products as specified on the pick ticket or computer screen. This involves traveling throughout the warehouse's pick area and building stable pallets of products while meeting safety, accuracy, and efficiency expectations.
Duties & Responsibilities: ? Retrieve and place product quantities onto pre-determined pallets according to the pick ticket instructions, ensuring safety and stability. ? Transport pallets of stacked products to different warehouse areas using a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) - Pallet Jack. ? Assist in warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping tasks as needed. ? Perform daily PIT checklist and report any issues to Warehouse Management. ? Correct any mistakes identified by the checker regarding product and quantity. ? Perform miscellaneous activities to support efficient warehouse operations.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
? Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, walking, and repetitively lifting 30 lbs.
? Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
? Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
? Coordinate and organize efficient warehouse processes.
? Adapt to different work areas throughout the workday and meet role expectations.
? Read and interpret instructions from a computer screen.
? Attention to detail and ability to differentiate packages.
? Work in a noisy and non-climate-controlled environment (hot in summer, cold in winter).
? Proactive self-starter with initiative and flexibility in schedules and hours.
Minimum Qualifications: ? Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience. ? PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification: Pallet Jack.
Preferred Qualifications: ? High school diploma or GED. ? Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience. ? PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification: Pallet Jack.
Work Environment:
? Noisy and non-temperature-controlled environment (hot in summer/cold in winter).
