Transcriptionist for Pathology (PRN) - Seacoast

Job Description

Under general supervision, a Medical Transcriptionist transcribes reports dictated by lab personnel including Pathologists.
? Transcribes pathology dictation accurately and timely.
? Prepares reports and slides for use during tumor conferences.
? Prepares slides and blocks for submission to reference labs.
? Initiates, composes, and types correspondence, memos, forms, procedures, reports as directed by Director, Supervisor or Pathologist.
? Receives and initiates orders from ordering physicians.
? Receives and screens telephone calls routing to correct area or providing needed information.
? Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Training:
? Excellent typing skills

Education:
? Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school
