Job Responsibilities

CMDB Administration & CI Management
? Manage and maintain the CMDB, ensuring it accurately reflects the IT environment, including all CIs and their relationships.
? Define and enforce data standards, policies, and governance for CIs.
? Work with IT and business units to onboard new CIs, ensuring proper classification and attribute population.

ITOM Integration
? Collaborate with IT Operations to integrate the CMDB with ITOM processes such as:
? Event Management
? Discovery & Service Mapping
? Orchestration and Automation
? Operational Intelligence
? Leverage ITOM tools to automate discovery, CI updates, and dependency mapping.

Data Quality & Reconciliation
? Use discovery tools (e.g., ServiceNow Discovery, SCCM, SolarWinds) to populate and reconcile CI data.
? Regularly audit and cleanse the CMDB to remove duplicate, obsolete, or inaccurate data.
? Ensure data quality metrics are defined, monitored, and improved over time.

Support ITSM & ITOM Processes
? Provide accurate CI data to support ITSM processes, including incident, problem, change, and release management.
? Enable impact analysis, root cause analysis, and proactive problem resolution through reliable CI data.
? Assist in operational readiness and performance monitoring using ITOM insights.

Reporting & Dashboards
? Develop and maintain CMDB and ITOM dashboards for key stakeholders.
? Generate reports to provide insights into the health of the CMDB, CI lifecycle, and IT operations performance.

Collaboration & Training
? Act as the liaison between IT operations, security, and service management teams to ensure the CMDB and ITOM processes meet organizational needs.
? Provide training and guidance to team members on CI management, CMDB updates, and ITOM tools
